Look at the conversation between Bella and Rose from Twilight about “turning into a vampire”. Rose talking to Bella about things she will want out of life that she will no longer have once she is a “vampire”. Look at it as a metaphor, vampire, for a criminal and crimes. Rose is a criminal talking someone “straight” about being a law-abiding citizen.
For example, this is me talking to men:
Do you like making love to women? Well, don’t be a criminal and commit crimes, you will never touch a woman or make love to a woman ever again.
Do you want to have children? Have a family? Well, don’t do crimes and break the law, you will never have children. You will never hold a baby, a child in your arms, and learn there is more to the universe than what lays in front of you. And, so on.
Do you really only want to know, live, be around, criminal men or women the rest of your life? Because that is what will happen if you break the law, you may never see daylight, again.
