True Detective, the first episode, isn’t what you think it is. True Detective and the antlers, and the first crime scene is meant to be sensational. The antlers, really is just referencing the car accident, happened to be in a van, our family van, that was meant to kill me, a child, that’s the Dimitri death in The Peacemaker.
The kneeling and the position of the victim, what does anyone think this is? Truthful? Real? A real crime, reenacted?
It’s just me, at summer camp. It was a Christian summer camp. They had, I don’t know how many different services, during the week, it wasn’t just on Sunday. And, I remember one service, someone sitting behind me, a presence, during the service, as what is typically done, a call for prayer, meaning the priest, or Pastor, or whomever was speaking in the microphone, asking if anyone needed or wanted to accept Christ, or just for prayer, to go to the alter, or the front of the church.
Now, I had already accepted Christ, as a small child. Christians differ from Catholics, in that once Christians are saved, you don’t have to question it, anymore, once they’ve accepted Christ. He lives – in your heart.
The best way I can describe the experience of going to the alter and having people place hands on me and praying, is – I, wasn’t afraid. Ok, I’ll go.

It’s meant to reference Michael Brown, he has an uncredited role at a backyard barbeque in the movie, and an uncredited role in the movie, There’s Something About Mary, in an orange prison jumpsuit, behind bars, and the end of the movie. Why you morons put him anywhere, I have no idea.
The most interesting thing about True Detective, Matthew McConaughey’s interpretation of the character, the detective. It’s most interesting, most unusual, most real and truthful. Um, because that’s what acting is – truthful, emotion.
