SHORT STORIES ARE, AND I’VE SAID AND WRITTEN THIS NUMEROUS TIMES, AND THIS WAS BEFORE THEY RE-EDITED ALL MY BOOKS AND LITERATURE SOMETHING ABOUT AS ABHORRENT TO ME AS -BURNING BOOKS, SHORT STORIES ARE LIKE ABSTRACT ART THEY ARE UNTO THEMSELVES. THEY EXIST EXACTLY ON THOSE PAGES, SHORT STORIES DON’T NEED PREQUELS OR FAMILY BACKGROUND, OR A BACK STORY, THEY EXIST IN THAT EXACT MOMENT IN TIME, IT IS ONE REASON WHY THEY LEND THEMSELVES SO WELL INTO FILM, BEING ADAPTED (NOT ADOPTED) INTO FILM, AND SHORT STORIES UNLIKE CONTEMPORARY NOVELS, OFTENTIMES ARE POETIC IN VERSE, CREATIVE IN ITS USE OF LANGUAGE, AND THAT TAKES DEFINITION AND MEANING INTO DIFFERENT DIRECTIONS, WHERE A DOOR IS NOT JUST A DOOR, IT BECOMES ALICE’S OTHER WORLD, I COULD GO ON AND ON FOR HOURS, AGAIN THIS IS ANOTHER EXAMPLE OF A DIFFERENCE BETWEEN FAST FOOD CHICKEN OR WHITE HOUSE DINNERS, DO YOU INTELLIGENTLY UNDERSTAND THE DIFFERENCE?!
